‘A day to remember’: Hundreds attend vigil for Peter Creek shooting victim

A vigil was held on the campus of The University of Michigan on Wednesday to remember a student killed in the shooting.

A vigil was also held for Christopher Creek, who was killed in a shooting at the Peter Creek Golf Course in June.

Michigan is among the most gun-friendly states in the country, with about 70 percent of gun deaths in the U.S. coming from the state.

The vigil was organized by the Black Lives Matter group and called for a gun ban to help prevent more deaths.

The university has been a hotbed for gun violence in recent years, with at least 50 people killed there this year.

The shooting at The Peter Creek comes just weeks after a gunman killed three people at the Michigan State University campus in Ann Arbor.
