Poker legend and ‘Mad Men’ cast member Mark Hamill to return to ‘Mad” season 7

Mark Hamills return to AMC’s “Mad Men” for Season 7.

Hamill, who is currently starring as poker player Phil Lasorda in “Madmen,” will appear in Season 7 of the series.

He joins actor and comedian Billy West in the cast.

The season will premiere on June 8, 2019.

Hamills returns to the series after a five-year hiatus following his Oscar-nominated performance as Don Draper in “Breaking Bad.”

He will play the role of Phil Lasor, the legendary poker player who has been in the business since the 1930s.

“Mark is thrilled to return for ‘Mad’ Season 7,” AMC said in a statement.

“He brings a wealth of character depth, a deep understanding of his role, and a great rapport with the cast.”

The “Mad” series is based on a 1973 movie of the same name, which is about a high-rolling New York mobster named Don Draper who is a former professional gambler who, after meeting his wife (Lily Collins) and her former lover (Peter Sarsgaard), decides to start a gambling empire.

“Mad MEN” creator Matthew Weiner will executive produce the season.

Season 7 is the first of six episodes in Season 8, which airs this fall.

AMC said it is developing an eight-episode first season.
